Waiting...

Have you ever seen the faces of loved ones
waiting at the airport
for those they love to return?
Eyes darting here and there,
in search for the familiar face,
they've missed.
Faces aglow when they catch sight of the
familar head,
amongst all the other bobbing heads.

Have you ever seen the faces of boys and girls,
waiting round the christmas tree,
eyes glued to
all the glittering presents
that lie beneath that tree.
The delights that lie under those wrappers,
waiting to be torn.
Oh will the day ever come?

Have you ever seen the face of a father,
waiting outside the operation theatre?
Glancing anxiously at the door,
awaiting for the doctor to walk through.
Waiting to hold the gift of God-his baby-in his arms,
cuddle it close,
and hold the hand of his wife,
the divine union that brought forth new life.

Have you ever seen the face of a bridegroom
standing at the end of the aisle,
Trying to be still, stand tall and be calm while
waiting for the doors to be flung open,
thoughts racing, heart beating,
waiting to see the fair lady
walk through,
each step she takes,
bringing her one step closer to
him calling her his own,
the dream fulfiled.

Have you seen the face of the bridegroom,
of all bridegrooms,
gazing at His bride,
saying to her,
'you are all fair my love, beautiful and without spot'.
Words of love that ring true for eternity,
because
He gave his life on that old rugged cross,
He waited only to be rejected,
He waited to no avail,
to redeem all our waits in life,
to give us an anchor of hope,
so that
they that wait on the Lord,
shall renew their strength like the eagle,
they shall run and not be weary,,
walk and not faint.

He is the promise behind all our waits.

when love touches you deep

There're so many different aspects of love.
So many different feelings.

There's the rush one gets when
reading a love letter,
or hearing a voice you didn't expect to hear.

There's the momentary high when you're just staring into space
when you're supposed to crunch some numbers,
day dreaming...

There's the inner bubble of happiness,
that makes u smile from within,
look at blue skies and green fields,
and wonder why they look all the more beautful today.

There's love that fills you with wonder,
amazement at the untainted quality of it,
the crystal clarity it brings to your life,
the light it shines when all else is dark.

There's love that touches you deep,
where words don't mean so much,
where the sudden realisation of it,
makes you stop short in your tracks,
reflect.
and causes everything else to take on a surreal quality.

There's love that's unconditional,
that makes all love possible,
and beautiful.
Agape love so true,
turning ashes into beauty.

I will be here-Steven Curtis Chapman

(Emmanuel.FATHER of eternity.watching over me every step of the way)

Tomorrow morning if you wake up
and the sun does not appear
I will be here
If in the dark, we lose sight of love
Hold my hand, and have no fear
'Cause I will be here

I will be here
When you feel like being quiet
When you need to speak your mind
I will listen
And I will be here
When the laughter turns to cryin'
Through the winning, losing and trying
We'll be together
I will be here

Tomorrow morning, if you wake up
And the future is unclear
I will be here
Just as sure as seasons were made for change
Our lifetimes were made for these years
So I will be here

I will be here
And you can cry on my shoulder
When the mirror tells us we're older
I will hold you
And I will be here
To watch you grow in beauty
And tell you all the things you are to me
I will be here
I will be true to the promise I have made
To you and to the One who gave you to me

Tomorrow morning, if you wake up
And the sun does not appear
I will be here
Oh, I will be here.

Hope does not disappoint.

When the oceans rise and thunders roar,
I will soar with you above the storm
Father you are KING over the flood,
I will be still,
know you are God.

Psalm 31:24
Be of good courage,And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.

Proverbs 13:12
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope

Zechariah 9:12
Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare That I will restore double to you.

Romans 5:5
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hope=confident expectation of GOOD.

If there's no hope, there's nothing for faith to give substance to.

If faith is the wind that propels the boat,
hope is the mast of the boat...
Even if the High Priest of our Confession, Jesus, has the perfect faith, and is interceding on behalf of us,
if there's no hope within us, cos we're too scared to hope, cos we're scared that we'll be disappointed again,
there's nothing for the wind to propel..

Just listened to a message from home church....and I'm so encouraged...

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give Jasmine the desires of her heart. and put ur name there too dear friends.....

Jesus knows.don't be tired of hoping. Our hope is based on the finished work of the cross. The work is perfect, eternal and true....

Hope does not disappoint because the LOVE of God has been shed abroad in our hearts...it does not disappoint, not because we trust in our hard work...or our talents...
