4 months into work

The cherry on top of an extremely trying day was:
a necklace from a dear dear friend just back from australia!

the magic of starbucks, laughter and good company
equals burden lifted off my shoulder.

a precious gem you are,
and a rare rare find.

"lift your open hands,
strike up the band
and make the fireflies dance,
silver moon sparkling..."

life! should be a dance,
so free,
uninhibited,
a thrillling sort of quiet,
with an unshakeable sort of stability.

so i was very disappointed today.
misunderstanding?
me thinking too much, reading too much, they say.

... ...

tomorrow is a new day,
and lessons have been learnt!
Guard your heart with all dilligence,
for out of it spring the issues of life.

Wrong lah...it's "Above all else, guard your heart..for it is the wellspring of life.."

Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm..Do not swerve to the right or to the left; keep your foot from evil...

If the mountain doesn't come to Mohammed, then Mohammed must go to the mountain...

Where are you off to for holiday?! Tsk tsk...why work so little then go on holiday already? Not dedicated to work..

That being said, I just got back from San Francisco :)

I got you
...air from San Francisco (not so fresh unfortunately given the forest fires),
...the laughter of people thrilled from hanging on to the sides of the cable cars,
...the relaxed looks of the hundreds of seals resting at Pier 39 in Fisherman's Wharf,
...the awe of tourists admiring the majestic Golden Gate Bridge
...and many other fond memories..

I am sure all these are more substantial than material gifts which you don't care so much about right? :p

in response to your question:i have a wise song for you, from the infamous Madonna,

i i i am a material girl,
and i live in a material world.

heehee!i shall leave u to ponder what that song means.

kidding la.

the prose u wrote was lovely btw.
*did u copy it from someone???=)
and yes, memories are priceless...

but the question remains,
so no present la?

The lord Jesus himself said : 'It is more blessed to give than to receive...'

In light of that, you should give me something rather than ask me for presents! Tsk tsk..

(So in short, no presents lah!)
